Salmon Truffle Roll review by Tannerdavis1995
The Salmon Truffle Roll was absolutely incredible! One of the best rolls I've had in LA. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the fish was fresh, and the truffle added this rich depth that you don't expect from a sushi roll. Presentation was on point too. Already planning my next visit.

just tried fillet sushi for the first time today and it was delicious!! I went on my own and was sat at the sushi bar and talked with T and K who own the place. there were so many menu items I wanted to try, so it was hard to make a decision but they both gave me great suggestions based on what fish had just arrived. I ended up getting the otoro nigiri, hotate, as well as the salmon truffle roll. all beautifully plated, fresh and delicious. I wanted to eat more but had to restrain myself and not spend all my money in one trip here haha! T served me a complimentary scoop of soy sauce ice cream at the end which blew my mind (he hadn't told me what the flavor was before I tried it, he told me to guess); it was the perfect amount of sweetness with a little saltiness (asian "not too sweet" perfection!) T also shared with me his commitment to serving the freshest ingredients and quality food to his customers and it shows! I appreciate the dialogue he creates between customers and himself to keep improving his dishes. i'll definitely be coming back with the rest of my family! this may very well be my new favorite sushi spot :) keep up the hard work! and thank you!! - amanda
Apple Wrap
This is a wonderful little gem my wife and I found after losing our home to the fires in Altadena and relocating to Monrovia. The sushi chefs, T & Bobby are the kindest and superb sushi chefs. You really cannot go wrong with anything! But one special roll is the Apple Wrap. An amazing roll filled with salmon, tuna, yellow tail, gobo, Japanese sprouts and wrapped with Granny Smith Apples and yuzu lemon sauce! Wow! Light and refreshing. A must if you visit! Let them know Jampa recommends! Thank you!

We came to try Fillet Sushi because our friends were raving about the salmon truffle. And it completely met expectations! We absolutely loved the tanginess and smoothness of the salmon. Fillet Sushi is superior in quality compared to other places. We'll be back and have been telling our friends about it too!

The black cod with sweet miso at Fillet Sushi is an absolute perfection! It's silky, buttery, and delicately balanced with just the right touch of sweetness. The fish melts on the tongue, infused with that signature umami depth from the miso glaze that caramelizes beautifully under heat. Each bite is rich yet refined, with a subtle hint of smokiness that rounds out the flavor. It's a must try and we order it every time we dine at Fillet Sushi!
